Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor from the United States. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. She's received many awards, including sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She was born and raised in New York New York. Bassett moved with her twin sister in St. Petersburg Florida at five years old to be near their mother and father, who had separated from their dad. Bassett was in high school and watched John Steinbeck's stage play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. In 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from The Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in the year 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading roles as Ramonda in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
